Stock Media Add-on for Larapen

Important: this is not a standalone application. It is an add-on for Larapen, which must be purchased and installed first.

The Stock Media add-on turns your site into a stock photo and footage store. Upload your originals, and the add-on generates watermarked previews and thumbnails in the background while the master files stay private. Visitors browse by category, preview each item, then buy it through the checkout or claim it for free; downloads are delivered through short-lived signed URLs, so the originals are never exposed publicly.

Whether you run a photographer portfolio store, a video footage marketplace or a large catalog fed from an SFTP drop folder, the workflow is the same: drop the files in, let the queue process them, set a price, and publish. Videos can also be hosted as unlisted YouTube embeds to keep bandwidth costs down, while the purchasable master file stays on your server.

• Queued Processing: Previews, thumbnails and metadata are generated by queue workers, so large uploads never block the admin panel.
• Paid & Free Items: Price each item or offer it for free; purchases go through the standard payment gateways.
• Secure Downloads: Signed, expiring download URLs and a purchase history in each customer's account.
• Reports: Sales, revenue and top items on the admin dashboard.

How It Works

1. Configure: Set the watermark, the storage disk and, if needed, the FTP/SFTP import folder and your YouTube settings.
2. Add Items: Upload files or run an import; the queue generates the previews and marks each item ready.
3. Sell: Visitors browse, preview and buy; the original file is delivered through a secure download link.
