Getting Started
Activate the Creative theme from your admin panel and start customizing right away. Here is how to get up and running in minutes.
-
Install the Theme
Upload the Creative theme package to your Larapen installation. Navigate to Admin → Appearance → Themes to see it listed.
-
Activate Creative
Click Activate next to the Creative theme. It becomes your live site theme immediately. No downtime, no data loss.
-
Customize Colors & Fonts
Go to Theme Settings to adjust the primary color, layout width, header style, font pairings, and dark mode defaults.
-
Build Your Pages
Create pages using the sectioned template with any of the 42 available section types, or use standalone templates for portfolios, blogs, and shops.
-
Configure Menus
Set up your header and footer menus under Admin → Menus. The Creative theme supports the sticky navigation bar with dropdown menus up to 2 levels deep.
Switching themes never affects your content. Your pages, portfolios, blog posts, and all other data remain untouched. Themes only control how content is displayed.
Purchase Code (License Key)
The Creative theme is licensed separately from the main application and from every other theme or add-on, so it has its own purchase code (license key). You are asked for it the first time you activate the theme in Admin panel → Themes.
Our products are sold on three platforms, and the way you receive a purchase code depends on where you bought the product.
| Platform / Marketplace | How you get the purchase code | Where to find it again |
|---|---|---|
| bedigit.com Store In-site purchase (Shop) |
Generated automatically when the order is paid, then sent by email, either in its own license email, or inside the order confirmation email. | My Account → My Licenses on bedigit.com |
| Gumroad | Created as soon as Gumroad notifies us of the sale, then sent in a separate email, in addition to the Gumroad receipt. | The license email, your Gumroad Library, and My Account → My Licenses on bedigit.com |
| Envato Market CodeCanyon |
Issued by Envato, not by us, and never sent by email: you download it yourself from your Envato account. | Envato account → Downloads → License certificate & purchase code |
Check your spam folder. For bedigit.com Store and Gumroad purchases the purchase code is delivered by email, and automated license emails are very often filtered. If the message is not in your inbox, look in your spam / junk folder before contacting support, and add our sender address to your contacts or allow list.
1. bedigit.com Store (in-site purchase)
As soon as your order is marked Paid, a license key is generated automatically for every licensed item in the order (one key per purchased unit) and emailed to the address used on the order, either in a dedicated license email or inside the order confirmation email. The key also stays available under My Account → My Licenses, where you can reveal it, copy it, see the domains it is activated on, and deactivate a domain to free an activation slot. The matching invoice is under My Account → My Orders.
2. Gumroad
A Gumroad purchase produces two separate emails: the Gumroad receipt (sent by Gumroad, giving access to the files) and a license key email (sent by bedigit.com) that contains your purchase code. The second one is generated as soon as Gumroad notifies us of the sale, so it normally arrives within seconds of the payment. When the product uses Gumroad’s own license-key feature, the same key is also shown in the Gumroad receipt and under Library → your purchase on gumroad.com. Use the same email address on bedigit.com as on Gumroad and your keys are linked to your account automatically, under My Account → My Licenses; you can also add a Gumroad key manually from My Account → My Gumroad Licenses.
3. Envato Market (CodeCanyon)
Envato issues and delivers the purchase code itself: we never email it, so there is nothing to look for in your spam folder. Log in to your Envato / CodeCanyon account, open Downloads, find the item, and choose License certificate & purchase code from the Download dropdown; the code is written in that certificate. It looks like 12345678-90ab-cdef-1234-567890abcdef and never changes, even when you renew item support. See the official article: Where Is My Purchase Code?
Lost your purchase code? Search your mailbox (spam folder included) for “license” or “purchase code”, then check My Account → My Licenses on bedigit.com for Store and Gumroad purchases, or Downloads → License certificate on Envato. If it is still missing, open a ticket on our Help Center with your order number (Store), Gumroad sale ID or buyer email (Gumroad), or Envato username and item name (Envato).
Customization
Every aspect of the Creative theme can be tailored through the admin panel. No code required.
Color Palette
The theme ships with a bold orange and deep blue palette, but every color is adjustable. Change the primary, secondary, and accent colors from Theme Settings and the entire site updates instantly via CSS custom properties.
| Color | Value |
|---|---|
| Primary | #ff6b35 |
| Secondary | #004e89 |
| Accent | #1a1a2e |
| Primary Light | #ff8c5a |
| Dark BG | #1e1e2e |
All colors are configurable through the admin panel under Theme Settings. No CSS knowledge required. The theme uses CSS custom properties (variables) that update globally when you change a color.
Typography
Two carefully paired Google Fonts create the Creative identity:
- Space Grotesk: Geometric, modern sans-serif for headings. Bold weight with tight letter-spacing creates impact.
- Plus Jakarta Sans: Friendly, readable sans-serif for body text. Smooth curves balance the geometric headings.
- Base size: 16px with a 1.7 line-height for comfortable reading.
The heading and body fonts can be changed in Theme Settings. Any Google Font is supported. The theme will update all typography throughout the site to use your chosen fonts.
Layout & Header
The Creative theme uses a wide 1250px container for spacious layouts. The header style defaults to sticky, staying fixed at the top as visitors scroll.
- Container width: 1250px (adjustable)
- Header: Sticky with backdrop blur on scroll
- Footer: Multi-column with newsletter and social links
- Mobile: Fully responsive with off-canvas navigation

Header & Footer
The Creative theme features a sticky header with backdrop blur and a richly structured footer.
Sticky Header
The navigation bar stays fixed at the top of the viewport as visitors scroll. It uses a semi-transparent background with a backdrop blur effect, keeping the content beneath subtly visible.
- Fixed positioning on scroll
- Backdrop blur with dark background
- Dropdown menus (2 levels deep)
- Off-canvas mobile navigation
- Language switcher integrated
Multi-Column Footer
A substantial footer area with multiple configurable columns. Supports dynamic menus, newsletter subscription, social links, and copyright information.
- Multiple menu group columns
- Newsletter subscription form
- Social media icon links
- Copyright and legal links
- Back-to-top button
Set up your header and footer menus under Admin → Menus. Create menu groups like "Header Main", "Footer Column 1", "Footer Column 2", etc. The theme renders them automatically.
Dark Mode
The Creative theme includes a complete dark mode design. Dark backgrounds, adjusted contrast, and color shifts for comfortable viewing in any lighting condition.
Background
Deep navy (#1e1e2e) replaces white backgrounds. Cards use subtle transparency (rgba white at 4%).
Text Colors
White text at varying opacities: headings at 100%, body at 65%, muted at 45%.
Primary Orange
The bold orange remains vibrant in dark mode, providing warm contrast against cool dark backgrounds.
Borders & Dividers
Ultra-subtle borders at rgba(255,255,255,0.06) define card edges without visual clutter.
Dark mode activates automatically based on system preferences or can be toggled via the header switch.
Parallax & Animations
Subtle, purposeful motion design adds depth and energy. Hover over each box to preview the animation style.
fadeInUp: Elements rise from below with a fade. The signature entrance animation.scaleIn: Elements grow from center with a spring-like ease. Used for icons and buttons.slideInLeft: Horizontal entrance from left. Used for asymmetric layout elements.rotateIn: Rotation with scale for playful entrances on decorative elements.
Parallax Effects
Multi-speed scrolling layers create depth throughout the page. Background images, decorative elements, and content sections move at different rates. Uses CSS transforms and requestAnimationFrame for smooth 60fps performance. No external libraries required.
Scroll Animations
Content elements animate into view as you scroll down the page. Uses IntersectionObserver for efficient, battery-friendly detection. Applies cubic-bezier(0.4, 0, 0.2, 1) easing for natural, physics-based motion. Respects prefers-reduced-motion.
The theme respects the "prefers-reduced-motion" browser setting automatically. You can also toggle animations and parallax off in Theme Settings for a simpler, static presentation.
Add-on Support
When you install and activate a Larapen add-on, the Creative theme automatically provides matching page templates and section blocks.

Updating
How to update this theme to a newer version.
Admin Panel Upload (Recommended)
- Download the latest
.zipfile of this theme. - Go to Admin panel → Themes and click the Upload button.
- Select or drag the
.zipfile into the upload area. - A confirmation prompt will show the current and new version numbers. Click Replace to proceed.
- Go to Admin panel → System Update (
/admin/update) to apply any pending database migrations.
Tip: Your theme settings (colors, fonts, custom CSS) are stored in the database and will not be lost when you replace the theme files.
Uninstallation
How to stop using this theme without losing anything.
Themes are not switched on and off one by one: exactly one theme is active at a time, so you stop using Creative by activating another one. Go to Admin panel → Themes and click Activate on the theme you want instead.
- Creative stays installed: its files remain under
extensions/themes/creative/and its card stays in the list. - Its settings (colors, fonts, layout, header and footer options, custom CSS) stay stored in the database, and so does the per-section styling you gave it on the home page.
- The purchase code recorded at activation is kept, so activating the theme again does not ask for it.
Activate it again whenever you like: the front-end comes back exactly as you left it.
Removing
How to delete this theme permanently, and what goes with it.
Removing deletes the theme for good. The active theme cannot be removed, so removal is always two steps:
- Activate a different theme (see Uninstallation).
- Click Remove on the Creative card and confirm the prompt.
That deletes:
- the theme directory
extensions/themes/creative/; - its published assets under
public/themes/creative/; - its uploaded files under
storage/app/public/themes/creative/; - its Vite build artifacts: the hashed files under
public/build/and their manifest entries; - its row in the
themestable, which is where its settings live, so the colors, fonts, layout options and custom CSS you configured for it are lost.
This cannot be undone. Export or note down any custom CSS you want to keep before removing the theme: installing it again later starts from the theme's default settings.
Per-section home page styling is stored under the theme's name rather than against the theme row, so it survives the removal: install Creative again and your section styling is still there, while the theme's own settings start from their defaults.
The removal is refused, before anything is deleted, when the theme is still active or when the web server (PHP) user cannot delete extensions/themes/creative/. In that last case, give that user write permission on the directory and on its parent, then try again.
Deleting the folder over FTP or SSH is not equivalent: the published assets, the build artifacts and the themes row are all left behind. Use Remove in the admin panel instead.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I switch to Creative from another theme without losing content?
Yes. Themes only control how content is displayed, not the content itself. Switching themes is instant and reversible. Your pages, portfolios, blog posts, and all other data remain untouched.
Do I need to know CSS to customize the colors?
No. All colors are configurable through the admin panel under Theme Settings. The theme uses CSS custom properties (variables) that update globally when you change a color in the settings.
Does the Creative theme work on mobile devices?
Absolutely. The theme is built mobile-first with responsive layouts. The sticky header converts to a hamburger menu, grids stack vertically, and touch gestures are supported for carousels and sliders.
Can I disable the parallax and animations?
Yes. The theme respects the "prefers-reduced-motion" browser setting automatically. You can also toggle animations off in Theme Settings for a simpler, static presentation.
How many sections can I add to a single page?
There is no hard limit. Pages using the "sectioned" template can include as many section blocks as needed. Each section loads its own styles only when used, so performance stays fast.
Is the Creative theme accessible?
Yes. The theme targets WCAG AA compliance with proper color contrast ratios, semantic HTML structure, ARIA labels on interactive elements, and full keyboard navigation support.
What happens if I install an add-on that Creative does not support?
The add-on will still work. It will use its own default views as a fallback. Creative provides custom templates for all officially supported add-ons listed in this documentation.
Can I use a different font instead of Space Grotesk?
Yes. The heading and body fonts can be changed in Theme Settings. Any Google Font is supported. The theme will update all typography throughout the site to use your chosen fonts.
