Atrium Theme for Larapen

Themes · 26 views

A fully interactive, motion-rich theme for architects, designers, galleries, and museums. Elastic type, scroll-driven frames, and a draggable collection wall.

Important: this is not a standalone application. It is a theme for Larapen, which must be purchased and installed first.

The Atrium theme is built around the way people look at work in a gallery: slowly, up close, with the label next to the piece. Large headings use a variable font whose letters widen and lighten as the pointer comes near, the home hero opens from a small frame into a full-screen image as visitors scroll, and every work carries a museum-style wall label. It is made for architects, designers, galleries, museums, and any studio whose portfolio deserves to be explored rather than skimmed.

Klein Blue, Gallery White & Motion With a Purpose

Atrium opens in a light appearance, like gallery walls by day, with a deep Klein blue accent and a touch of amber for what is on view. The dark appearance is one click away, opens with a circular reveal, and is remembered for each visitor. Every effect can be switched off one by one in the Motion & Interactions settings, and visitors who ask their device to reduce motion see the content directly, without animation.

What Makes Atrium Stand Out

  • Elastic Type: Large headings stretch toward the pointer on mouse devices and breathe gently on touch screens, thanks to a variable font with a width axis.
  • Scroll-Driven Frames: The home hero opens from a framed image to full screen as visitors scroll, and project pages reveal their cover through an arched window.
  • Draggable Collection Wall: A canvas of works that visitors drag in any direction, each one opening in a viewer that zooms out of its thumbnail, with full keyboard support.
  • Page Transitions & Contextual Cursor: A color panel sweeps between pages with the name of the page being opened, and on mouse devices the cursor becomes a ring that reads View, Play, Drag, or Read.
  • Interactive Sections: Marquee, Statement, and Collection Wall sections, plus redesigned portfolio, steps, metrics, video, events, and before/after sections with pinned and scroll-driven effects.
  • Revealed Footer: The page lifts off a Klein blue footer whose giant wordmark stretches as it comes into view.
