Vellum Theme for Larapen
A technical, blueprint-inspired theme for engineering studios, SaaS, and product teams. Drafting-grid frames, mono annotations, and self-drawing line art.
Important: this is not a standalone application. It is a theme for Larapen, which must be purchased and installed first.
The Vellum theme turns every page into a drawing sheet: a hairline frame, ruled cells that share their borders, bold uppercase grotesk headings with mono annotations, and a single signal orange that marks what matters. It is made for architecture software, engineering and drafting studios, SaaS products, and technical consultancies that want their site to look as precise as their work.
Drafting Motion, Line by Line
Headings are plotted letter by letter behind an orange cursor block, line drawings trace themselves as visitors scroll, images are uncovered by a scan line, and pages change behind ruled blinds. The light paper appearance is the default and the dark one is a click away; every effect can be switched off in the Motion & Interactions settings and is skipped for visitors who prefer reduced motion.
What Makes Vellum Stand Out
- Blueprint Grid Frames: The header, sections, and footer are built from ruled cells on a drafting-paper grid, with a huge outlined site name at the foot of every page.
- Drafting Type: Large headings are drawn letter by letter, each letter flickering through glyphs before it settles.
- Self-Drawing Line Art: Strokes, rules, and frames draw themselves on scroll, and drawings fill with color as they come into view.
- Technical Tables: Pricing plans, comparisons, metrics, and testimonials are laid out as clean technical tables with mono units and labels.
- Crosshair Cursor & Ruled Transitions: A precise crosshair cursor on mouse devices and ruled blinds that sweep across the screen between pages.

The Motion & Interactions card of the theme settings switches each effect on or off: the intro loader, page transitions, the contextual cursor, the type effects, and the parallax and scroll effects. Visitors who ask their device to reduce motion never see these effects, whatever the settings: the content is shown directly, without animation.
Yes. Add-on pages (Blog, Shop, Events, Help Desk, account pages, and more) use the shared layouts restyled with the Vellum palette, type, and shapes, in both the light and the dark appearance. Vellum also belongs to the interactive themes family, which shares the Marquee, Statement, and Collection Wall sections and the same motion settings.
No. The core Larapen app includes only the Default theme. The Vellum theme is a premium theme available for separate purchase. Upload its .zip file from the Themes page of your admin panel and activate it there; no coding required.
