Contour Theme for Larapen
A warm, crafted theme for architecture firms, interior designers, and builders. Animated topographic contour lines, numbered chapters, and a project mosaic.
Important: this is not a standalone application. It is a theme for Larapen, which must be purchased and installed first.
The Contour theme is warm and crafted, like a well-detailed building: an off-white page, a sage accent, soft clay highlights, and animated topographic contour lines that drift slowly and bend around the pointer, like the survey maps every project starts from. Content is organized in numbered chapters, so each page reads like a clear project presentation. It is made for architecture firms, interior designers, builders, and engineering consultancies.
Width Type and Calm, Purposeful Motion
Headings open from a condensed to a normal width as they enter the screen, thanks to a variable font with a width axis. Media cards expand as visitors scroll, statements fill in word by word, and a floating header card steps aside on the way down and comes back on the way up. The light appearance is the default and the dark one is a click away; every effect can be switched off in the Motion & Interactions settings.
What Makes Contour Stand Out
- Animated Contour Lines: Thin topographic lines drawn live, with a stronger index line every fifth one; they pause off screen and stay still for visitors who prefer reduced motion.
- Floating Header Card: A rounded card inset from the top with a centered navigation, a phone pill, and a Contact button; it hides while scrolling down and returns on the way up.
- Services With Hover Previews: A list of specialisms where hovering each row reveals an image preview.
- Offset Project Mosaic: Projects laid out in an offset mosaic with category filters, and project pages that open on an expanding cover, project facts, a gallery, and a next-project band.
- Numbered Chapters: Sections carry chapter numbers, so long pages keep a clear, architectural structure.
- Crafted Transitions: An intro loader where contour rings draw themselves, a sage page transition traced with contour lines, and a contextual cursor on mouse devices.

Everything you need to know about Contour Theme for Larapen before you buy.
The Contour theme is built for architecture firms, interior designers, builders, contractors, and engineering consultancies. Its numbered chapters, services list with hover previews, and offset project mosaic are made to present a practice, its specialisms, and its projects.
Yes. The Motion & Interactions card of the theme settings switches each effect on or off: the intro loader, page transitions, the contextual cursor, the type effects, and the parallax and scroll effects. Visitors who ask their device to reduce motion never see these effects, whatever the settings: the content is shown directly, without animation.
Yes. Add-on pages (Blog, Shop, Events, Help Desk, account pages, and more) use the shared layouts restyled with the Contour palette, type, and shapes, in both the light and the dark appearance. Contour also belongs to the interactive themes family, which shares the Marquee, Statement, and Collection Wall sections and the same motion settings.
No. The core Larapen app includes only the Default theme. The Contour theme is a premium theme available for separate purchase. Upload its .zip file from the Themes page of your admin panel and activate it there; no coding required.
